CAT5e cable and its forms
Cat5e cable is a kind of cross over cable which is used to connect to or more computers in a direct manner. Cat5e is used for transmitting data at a faster speed without waiting for some router or hub to get free. Cat5e cable can be used as a temporary solution for transmitting data. For continuous transfer of data one needs to take help of routers or hubs or some well established network. To make the cat5e cables look different from rest of the cables they are manufactured in yellow color. Apart from being yellow in color cat5e is also written on the external jacket so that users do not have to spend much time while searching cat5e cable.
Cat5e cables are the improved version of cat5 cable. The difference between cat5 and cat5e cable is that the wires in both these models are reversed in respect to each other. The wires in the improved version are twisted in order to reduce the interference of signals. This helps a lot in increasing the transmission rate of data. The cat 5e cables are available in two forms. In form it is stranded and in other it is solid. The two forms of cat5e cables are little different from one other. On one hand where stranded form is quite flexible on the other hand solid form is very rigid. Stranded form is more durable and works efficiently.
Solid cat 5e cables are not very expensive and thus are liked by a major portion of the society.
